Rachel M. Ortiz

Rachel M. Ortiz is an Associate Attorney with Urban Thier & Federer, P.A. She is based out of the Orlando office.

Ms. Ortiz’ practice focuses primarily on state and federal court litigation of business disputes, creditor rights under state and federal consumer protection laws, and appellate practice.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Ortiz worked at the Third District Court of Appeal in Miami, Florida as a law clerk and research attorney to the Honorable Richard J. Suarez, handling civil and criminal appeals as well as post-conviction matters and petitions for extraordinary relief.  She was formerly an associate attorney with the law firm of Banker Lopez Gassler P.A. in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, where she defended numerous civil actions in state court.  She is highly proficient in Spanish.

Ms. Ortiz is a member of the Florida Bar and the bars of the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.
