Angela Grace is an Of Counsel Attorney with Urban Thier & Federer, P.A. and is the managing attorney of the firm’s Alabama office. She is based out of the Foley, Alabama office.
Angela Grace has a special focus in the international business arena and is lead counsel for the Alabama office of Urban, Thier & Federer P.A. located on Hwy 59 in Foley, AL. For over twenty years, Angela has worked with top executives from Germany and German speaking countries and assists European companies and communities to ensure successful relocation to the southeast USA. Angela focuses her work on strategic consulting, search, team building, local support, coaching and advising and has worked in the entire southeastern USA. Her clients include Porsche Consulting GmbH, Lufthansa Technik AG, Grammer AG and multiple automotive and aerospace suppliers.
As a consultant, Angela has worked with law firms, private companies, SME’s and governmental entities. She understands high quality services do not have to be cost prohibitive, but must be supported by a strong local team. She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and the Cumberland School of Law. Her studies included comparative law at the University of Heidelberg, Germany, undergraduate studies the University of Regensburg and tax law at the University of Alabama. Angela is fluent in the German language and has a working knowledge of French and Spanish.
As an attorney, Angela helps her clients with personal injury, criminal, probate matters and general litigation. Prior to entering law school, Angela worked in Washington D.C. for U.S. Senator H. John Heinz (R-Pa.) in the office of the Press Secretary. She has accumulated multiple awards including Best in Bar for immigration law in 2008 and 2009. She is regularly invited to speak in the areas of site selection, business development and cross cultural communications.
Angela also has specific industry knowledge and regularly advises communities and companies on strategic planning. She served as co-chair for the Alabama Lt. Governor’s task force on aviation/aerospace and is a regular speaker on “best practices” for luring foreign direct investment. Her knowledge and insight contributed to successes for companies relocating to the Tuscaloosa, Mobile and Huntsville areas in the state of Alabama, Nashville and Chattanooga in the state of Tennessee, Greenville, South Carolina and Tupelo, Mississippi.
